Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q1: What is the smallest product that can be transferred with a knife edge?
A: It depends on the product, but as a rule of thumb, items with a length of 25–30 mm or more can be reliably transferred. The key is that the product must be long enough to “bridge” the tiny gap that remains.
Q2: Does the knife edge cause faster belt wear?
A: It does create higher stress on the belt. That’s why we only use belts specifically developed for flexibility and durability with small bending radii. With proper use, belt lifetime is still more than sufficient.
Q3: Is the knife edge area easy to clean?
A: Yes. Although the area is compact, our design ensures easy access. In addition, we offer an optional quick-release tensioning mechanism that allows the belt to be lifted, providing full access for thorough cleaning of the assembly.
