The cap conveyor system is the critical link between your cap sorter and your capper. It is designed to maintain the perfect orientation of the caps while transporting them, often over long distances or complex routes, ensuring a continuous and jam-free supply to the capping machine.

A cap feeder is often a large, floor-level machine, while the capper is typically elevated and further down the line. The cap conveyor bridges this gap. We engineer two primary types of systems. For lightweight plastic screw caps, Air Conveyors are an ideal solution, using low-pressure air to float the caps along a track, providing gentle, high-speed, and clean transport. For heavier, larger, or non-standard caps (like pumps or trigger sprayers), we build custom Tabletop Chain Conveyors with specialized guides that secure the cap and maintain its orientation throughout the journey. Both systems are designed for reliability and easy cleaning.

  • FAQ -
    • Q1: What is the main advantage of an air conveyor for plastic caps?
    • A1: Speed and cleanliness. Air conveyors have very few moving parts, making them extremely low-maintenance and easy to clean. They "float" the caps on a cushion of filtered air, which is very gentle and allows for very high transport speeds over complex routes with bends and elevation changes.
    • Q2: How does a cap conveyor handle changes in elevation?
    • A2: Air conveyors are excellent at this; they can easily move caps up steep inclines. For tabletop chain conveyors, we use special chains with high-friction surfaces or small cleats (paddles), combined with top guide rails, to securely hold the caps as they travel uphill.
    • Q3: How do you prevent caps from jamming or falling off the conveyor?
    • A3: Through precise guide rail design and smooth transfers. The guides are custom-made to fit the cap's profile snugly but without excessive friction. All transition points—from the sorter to the conveyor, and from the conveyor to the capper—are engineered to be perfectly aligned and seamless.
    • Q4: We run multiple cap sizes. Is the conveyor system adjustable?
    • A4: Yes. We can design the system with quick-adjustment guide rails, often using digital readouts for fast and repeatable settings. For major changes in cap shape or size, we can provide quick-release "changepart" guide sets.
    • Q5: For a food or pharma application, how do you ensure the conveyor is hygienic?
    • A5: The entire system is built using hygienic design principles. We use stainless steel 316L and food-grade polymers. For air conveyors, we use HEPA filters on the blower intake to ensure the air touching the caps is clean. All covers are removable for easy access, and the design minimizes flat surfaces and crevices to facilitate thorough cleaning.
