An automated bucket filling machine streamlines the labor-intensive process of packaging bulk products into pails or buckets. The system can be configured as a complete line, automatically de-nesting empty buckets, transferring them to a filling station, dosing the product with high precision (gravimetrically or volumetrically), and then placing and sealing the lid.

Manual bucket filling is slow, inconsistent, and exposes operators to repetitive strain and potential contact with hazardous materials. Our automated systems solve these issues, delivering significant ROI through increased throughput, superior accuracy, and improved operator safety. Whether you are filling paint, chemicals, construction materials, or bulk food ingredients, we engineer the right dosing technology for your product—from liquid pumps for fluids to auger fillers for powders and net weighers for solids. The modular design allows you to start with a semi-automated filler and upgrade to a fully integrated line as your production grows.

More Information

  •
    • Q1: What is the difference between gravimetric and volumetric filling for buckets?
    • A1: Volumetric filling doses a specific volume of product. It's fast and ideal for low-cost products where slight weight variations are acceptable. Gravimetric filling doses by weight. It is more accurate (unaffected by product density changes or air bubbles) and is the standard for higher-value products where precise quantity is critical.
    • Q2: How does the machine handle products that create foam, like detergents?
    • A2: For foamy liquids, we use a sub-surface filling nozzle. The nozzle descends to the bottom of the bucket and stays below the rising liquid level during the fill, minimizing turbulence and foam generation.
    • Q3: Can the same machine fill different bucket sizes?
    • A3: Yes. Our machines are designed with adjustable guides and height settings. Changeover between different bucket heights or diameters is typically quick and often requires no tools, maximizing line uptime.
    • Q4: How does the "de-nester" work?
    • A4: A stack of nested (stacked) empty buckets is placed in a magazine. The de-nester uses mechanical screws or vacuum cups to separate the bottom bucket from the stack and place it precisely onto the conveyor for filling.
    • Q5: What prevents dripping from the nozzle after a fill is complete?
    • A5: The filling nozzles are equipped with a positive shut-off mechanism. After the fill, the valve closes instantly, and many designs include a feature that "sucks back" a small amount of product, ensuring a clean cut-off and preventing drips onto the bucket rim or conveyor.
